THLD - Powepoint presentation from 1/23/2008

Attached is an interesting powepoint presentation that talks about whats going on at THLD.
This is from the CEO and I'm not sure what info is common knowledge but take a look at the data on TH-302 pg 20 - 26 or so. It shows 100% remission 10/10 in combo with chemo. This is the drug that Threshold is betting their future on and not glufos.
In a nutshell TH-302 is a drug that is attracted to cells with low oxygen content. Standard chemo is a fat molecule drug and can only really get to cancer that is close to the blood supply i.e. high in oxygen content. TH-302 is a small molecule and goes out farther away from the blood and is essentially attracted to tissue with low O2 levels.
Certain types of cancer have this low O2 levels - this is called hypoxia, and its how TH-302 is activated. Because TH-302 is hypoxia activated it for the most part will not harm healthy tissue (because its high in oxygen) and is therefore well tolerated and not toxic. In combination with chemo TH-302 has shown amazing data - and is suitable for fighting tumors that are severely hypoxic i.e. pancreas, protate, head & neck and soft tissue sarcoma.
TH-302 works in combination with chemo - chemo kills the tumor close to blood supply and TH-302 gets the rest. P20 shows that with chemo alone there were no cures - with chemo + TH-302 5 complete resposnes (cures). p22 shows TH-302 alone (lots of cancer) chemo (Taxotere) alone - still has cancer and a combo where tehre is compelte remission. p23 shows untreated cancer after 4 weekstotally spread in the test subject - but after just 3 weeks the test subject tumors totally gone and no remmision after over 6 weeks. p24 and p25 show the combo TH-302 + Taxotere (chemo) 100% 10/10 cures vs no complete cures for chemo alone. While this is not human data - its great data and this has blockbuster potential. John Curd came over to THLD for this drug and this drug alone. I think that at .40 with over .60 a share net cash its worth a look.
